1. FC Nürnberg shocks 1. FC Magdeburg late

Top talent Can Uzun scored 1. FC Nürnberg’s second win in a row in the 2nd Bundesliga.

The 18-year-old made the difference with his 13th goal of the season (80th) in the 1-0 (0-0) draw at 1. FC Magdeburg, meaning that Nuremberg, eighth in the table and now five points behind the relegation place, can quietly dream of promotion.

Magdeburg remains in twelfth place after the first home defeat of the year, but still has a cushion over the relegation region.

Before Uzun’s goal, the club had already celebrated the supposed lead twice – but in both cases the goal did not count. Exceptional talent Uzun, who announced during the week that he wanted to play for the Turkish national team rather than the German national team, was offside when he scored (25′). Sebastian Andersson (27th) was also only happy for a short time – the Swede’s goal was also taken back.

After the break, both teams repeatedly created opportunities: Magdeburg’s Alexander Nollenberger (50th) was denied by goalkeeper Carl Klaus, who a little later also parried against Tatsuya Ito (51st). Then Uzun completed a counterattack.
