Long term contract
Now it’s official: Adam Gnezda Cerin is leaving 1. FC Nürnberg for good and joining Panathinaikos Athens. The 22-year-old central midfielder signed a contract with the Greek cup winners until June 30, 2026. The fee is reported to be around 650,000 euros, which means that FCN’s income in the current transfer window will increase to almost 3.4 million euros.
Cerin had moved from NK Domzale to Nuremberg for 1.1 million euros in 2019, but was never able to assert himself with the nine-time champion and was only on the pitch five times. In the past two years, the Slovenian national player was loaned to HNK Rijeka in Croatia – with success: In 73 competitive games he contributed three goals and eleven assists.
