Is there a reason why Celtic have so many Japanese in their squad or Asians in general, and they also have three South Koreans under contract? So many Asian players in one club is quite unusual. Any local sponsors or owners perhaps? Or simply massively expanded scouting there in order to be able to search for markets that still seem to be going under the radar of many European clubs?
Celtic would probably be an interesting address for Okunuki. Good national title chances, international competition, a certain showcase for the Premier League, certainly regular national team scouts in the stands. Unfortunately, if Celtic are serious and the finances are right, this chapter in Nuremberg could quickly come to an end. It would be a shame, Okunuki is getting better and better after a few initial difficulties and is perhaps even our most important/best offensive player at the moment.
