1. FC Köln: Tim Lemperle extended – several interested parties

“Possibly intermediate step”

As expected, 1. FC Köln have extended Tim Lemperle’s expiring contract. The 21-year-old attacker signed a new working paper until June 30, 2025. The homegrown player, who made the leap to the FC pros in 2020, has played 26 games (two goals) for Cologne so far, nine of them in the current season.

“Tim is currently in a very crucial phase of his development. He is highly talented, but also has various fields of development to make the final breakthrough to become a Bundesliga player. We are very pleased to be able to continue supporting Tim in this important phase of his career beyond the summer, and we want to continue to support and challenge him,” said Managing Director Christian Keller.

Lemperle added: “The decision was easy for me because I feel very comfortable and in good hands at FC. FC and the coach have shown me a clear path that I would like to take here – and I want to prove that I can do it. Even if I may have to take an intermediate step in the summer, my goal remains to play for the FC Bundesliga.”

Loud “Express“ there are already several interested parties for a loan from Lemperle. The second division teams Fortuna Düsseldorf and Greuther Fürth are said to have asked about the DFB junior. In addition, there should be inquiries from Belgium and the Netherlands.
