Despite the knockout, Flavio is fourth in the race towards the Finals in Turin. The German closes on the second place of the Spaniard, who will not even play at Wimbledon
With his first Slam victory at Roland Garros, Alexander Zverev puts Carlos Alcaraz’s second place in his sights. In fact, the German gained 1600 points more in the ATP ranking compared to 2025, when he stopped in the quarter-finals in Paris, rising to 7305 and shortening his ranking to second place. The Spanish champion remains 2655 points behind, but Zverev will have another chance to get even closer in the next Wimbledon, which the Spaniard will miss due to the wrist injury and where he will lose another 1350 points, while Sascha will have practically nothing to defend, having been eliminated in the first round last year. After months in which the positions seemed locked down, now it seems the race for second place behind Jannik Sinner could be ignited. For now, in fact, first place remains unattainable for the Italian who, despite the knockout in the second round, remains at 13,500 points, 6,195 more than the new Roland Garros champion.
Cobolli jump
—
Cobolli on the other hand, as anticipated, makes his debut in the top ten and from Monday he will be the new number 10 in the world, reaching 3540 points. A truly deserved result for Flavio, who in the event of victory in Paris would have even become the new number 5. Quite a few positions change in front of him. Félix Auger-Aliassime becomes the new world number 4 with 4400 points, followed by Ben Shelton and Alex de Minaur. Novak Djokovic collapses, losing three positions and now finding himself in seventh place with 3760 points. Daniil Medvedev eighth and Taylor Fritz ninth, in Flavio’s sights: the Russian has a 220 point margin over the Roman, the American only 180 points.
