Ex-national player moves back to the Bundesliga

In Germany she already collected some titles. Now Pauline Bremer returns to her home country after a second adventure in England.

The former German international Pauline Bremer will be back in the Bundesliga in the future. After the end of her engagement in England, she joins 1st FC Köln. The club announced the commitment of the 29-year-old attacker on Thursday. Bremer comes from Brighton & Hove Albion and signed a contract in the cathedral city until June 30, 2028.

In a message from her new club, Bremer emphasized that she was very much looking forward to returning to the Bundesliga. “FC is an ambitious club and with my experience I want to help to be successful and take the next step,” she added.

The striker played 21 caps for Germany and scored four goals. The last time she ran for the DFB team in 2020.

Bremer started her career at Turbine Potsdam before moving to Olympique Lyon in 2015. There she won the Champions League twice as a young player. From 2017, three years followed by Manchester City and from 2020 three successful years at VfL Wolfsburg, with which she became German champion and won the DFB Cup three times. In the summer of 2023 she joined Brighton – now the step back to the Bundesliga follows.
