So far 1.57 points on average
1. FC Köln and coach Steffen Baumgart have extended their collaboration ahead of time: The 50-year-old has extended his contract, which originally ran until 2023, by another year until 2024, as the Bundesliga club announced on Monday.
“There is good news at the start of training. Steffen has prematurely extended his contract with FC until the summer of 2024. We deliberately extended it by a year because we decided to always meet on an annual basis in the future,” explained Managing Director Christian Keller. Baumgart added: “We agreed relatively quickly in the talks that we wanted to continue working together. I like being here at FC. I’ve always emphasized that. It’s great fun. And that is the most important thing to me.”
Baumgart took over FC last summer after Friedhelm Funkel successfully stayed up and led the team into the Conference League. The coach averaged 1.57 points in 37 games.
