1. FC Kaiserslautern: Ba-Muaka Simakala comes from Holstein Kiel

Only came in the summer

Ba-Muaka Simakala will play for 1.FC Kaiserslautern in the second half of the season. The 26-year-old winger is moving to Betzenberg from league rivals Holstein Kiel on a six-month loan deal. The German-Congolese, who only came from VfL Osnabrück before the season, has a contract with the league leaders until 2025.

“Due to the great competition on the offensive, we cannot guarantee “Chance” Simakala the playing time he needs for his development,” explained Kiel’s sports director Uwe Stöver. “The move to Kaiserlautern is therefore a sensible solution for all sides. We wish him all the best and much success there in the next few months.”

In the first half of the season, Simakala was used in 13 games, but was only in the starting line-up twice and did not contribute to a goal. The relegation-threatened FCK, which has already signed a new signing in Filip Stojilkovic (23) from Darmstadt 98 and is also about to sign his team-mate Frank Ronstadt (26) and Fürth’s Dickson Abiama (25), should now get more match practice. “Chance can be used variably in the offensive, which offers our game more flexibility going forward. With him we will gain quality and goal threat in the squad and can thus continue to force the competition,” said managing director Thomas Hengen.
