“Sky” report

In 1. FC Heidenheim’s first Bundesliga season, Eren Dinkçi is one of the top performers and, alongside Tim Kleindienst and Jan-Niklas Beste, one of the club’s top scorers. It’s hardly surprising that the newcomer doesn’t want to let the 22-year-old right winger go again in the summer. How “Sky“ reports, the FCH wants to sign Dinkçi, who was previously on loan from Werder Bremen, for a record sum.
According to the TV station, Heidenheim wants to pull the exit clause in the Bremen native’s contract, which is valid until 2025, making him the most expensive purchase in the club’s history. So far, center forward Kleindienst has held this status. Dinkçi is available for 5 million euros – Bild had previously reported on this. Discussions with Dinkçi are said not to have taken place yet. The first priority is to stay in the league. Only when it is clear that Heidenheim will play in the Bundesliga for a second year will the personnel move forward, it is said.
With double service: The most expensive additions to 1. FC Heidenheim
After 24 match days, FCH is in eleventh place – eleven points ahead of the relegation zone. Staying in the league should therefore only be a formality. A good argument to convince Dinkçi to stay, but perhaps not a sufficient one. According to reports, the offensive player is also being courted by larger Bundesliga clubs. And Werder hope that the professional will make a new attempt on the Weser. Dinkçi himself has not yet made a decision regarding his sporting future.
Werder Bremen wants to discuss the future of Eren Dinkçi on loan as soon as possible
The right-footed player, who could choose between the German and Turkish national teams, scored eight goals and four assists in 24 games across all competitions this season. “If I were to come back, I would like to have more playing time than I did recently,” Dinkçi recently said about a return to Bremen. Last season there were only 277 minutes for the professionals and he didn’t manage to score a goal. At the beginning of February, according to licensing department manager Clemens Fritz, it was still too early for the SVW to “intensively discuss” Dinkçi’s future. However, the manager announced at the time that he would “soon begin an exchange with his consulting agency”.
