In a rare step, TSG Hoffenheim denied interest in Said El Mala from 1. FC Köln on Saturday afternoon. The Express had reported that the Kraichgauers were ready to put together a big package to sign the FC star in the summer. TSG then responded via X (formerly Twitter).

“It’s been a long time since I’ve read such a transfer story,” wrote the Hoffenheim team, referring to El Mala’s first name. FC confirms transfer of Guardiola talent

1. FC Köln have signed Jahmai Simpson-Pusey from Manchester City after a six-month loan. The central defender came to Cologne on loan in January and has now signed a contract until 2023. FC is reportedly paying a transfer fee of around five million euros.

“Jahmai has adapted to us very quickly since his move in the winter and has taken on the challenge at this level straight away,” said FC sporting director Thomas Kessler about the talent who was trained under Pep Guardiola. “With his performances he has shown what potential he has.
