5-0 win against TSV Meerbusch
After a 5-0 win against TSV Meerbusch, 1. FC Bocholt secured the championship in the Oberliga Niederrhein and thus the promotion to the Regionalliga West. For the former second division club it is the return to the highest amateur league after more than 25 years. Most recently, Bocholt was active in what was then the Regionalliga West-Südwest in 1996/97.
