After Gijs Brouwer, Jesper de Jong has also qualified for the final of the National Tennis Championships in Amstelveen. De Jong, seeded first, defeated qualifier Ronetto van Tilburg in two sets: 6-4 and 6-0. The final between the two North Holland tennis players starts tomorrow afternoon at two o’clock. That is why the women’s final is between the winner of 2021 and 2022, Susan Lamens and Annelin Bakker.
Interim coach Michael Dingsdag of FC Volendam has chosen the following eleven players who will kick off in Heerenveen at 9 p.m.: Backhaus, Buur, Mbuyamba, Flint, Cox Mirani, De Haan, Van Driel, Ould-Chikh, Zeefuik and Booth .
Compared to the 3-1 loss against Feyenoord, Plat (bench) and Twigt (not fit) are missing. Their replacements are Cox and Van Driel. It is the first time for Van Driel to start in the starting line-up. The 18-year-old midfielder has three short substitute appearances to his name.
The women’s table tennis have lost the final of the play-offs in the autumn competition. Reigning national champion VTV from Nieuwegein kept Den Helder from winning the autumn title with a 4-2 win.
AKC Blauw-Wit has achieved an important victory in the fifth round of the Korfball League. In Hardinxveld-Giessendam, the team of coaches Barry Schep and Mark van der Laan was slightly better than HKC. After a 15-13 lead at halftime, the Amsterdam team won the match 23-21. This brings Blauw-Wit to 6 points and the connection with the sub-top has been found. Koog Zaandijk will play against PKC later tonight. Both teams are also on 6 points. Groen Geel (1 point) plays the relegation match against the still winless Fortuna in Delft.
Gijs Brouwer convincingly defeated Mees Röttgering in the semi-finals at the National Tennis Championships. The tennis player from Venhuizen was too strong in two sets in Amstelveen: 6-2, 6-0. Jesper de Jong plays the other semi-final. The Hoofddorp native, who is seeded first, has to deal with Ronetto van Tilburg for a place in the final.
ADO ’20 suffered a 1-0 defeat against Quick Boys. The PhD candidate is therefore stuck in 13th place in the second division. Koninklijke HFC did not get further than a 1-1 draw when visiting the promises of Almere City FC. The team of coach Gertjan Tamerus occupies eleventh place.
In the second division, AFC took the three points against FC Lisse. The Amsterdam team won 0-1 in the Bollenstreek thanks to Cody Claver’s winning goal halfway through the first half. AFC now has 24 points from 17 games and remains in the lead of the sub-top.
In the last match before the winter break, FC Volendam has to do without Benaissa Benamar. The central defender suffered a head injury against Feyenoord (3-1 loss). Calvin Twigt is still a question mark for the match against SC Heerenveen. Robert Mühren was missing from training on Thursday because he was suffering from his soles, but he will most likely be there.

National coach Per Johansson has called up Kim Molenaar for the last match at the Handball World Cup. The 21-year-old from Amsterdam, who plays for the Danish club København Håndbold, will join the team tonight. Molenaar replaces the injured Estavana Polman.
Tomorrow at 1 p.m. the handball players will close the World Cup against Germany. The stakes are fifth place. To get a good starting position for the Olympic qualifying tournament (OKT), a win is necessary.
