Job Geerds has won the title in the 60 meter hurdles at the National Indoor Athletics Championships in Apeldoorn in the second Dutch time ever. The 21-year-old from Amsterdam sprinted to gold in 7.57 seconds. This leaves him five hundredths above the Dutch record of 7.52 set by Gregory Sedoc. Geerds also dipped below the limit for the World Indoor Championships in Glasgow (March 1-3).

Among the women, Maayke Tjin A-Lim takes the gold in the 60 meter hurdles. With her time of 7.98 she qualified for the World Indoor Championships. Tjin A-Lim will also be active in the 100 meter hurdles at the Olympic Games in Paris next summer.
