Ajax is twice close to a goal. First Van Oevelen saves on a shot from Berghuis. Then Moro gets a free shooting opportunity. The Ajax player hits the ball halfway and thus crushes around one hundred percent chance.

National champion VZV has conquered the Super Cup in the women’s handball. The team from ‘t Veld was 30-26 too strong for VOC from Amsterdam. Officially it was VOC 2, because the first team had already had to leave the cup tournament last season. With a reinforced second team, the capitals then took the cup. Last week there was also turmoil in Handballand. In Wognum, VZV joined the second team during the NH Cup instead of the first. VZV therefore did not end higher than fifth place, while VOC won the tournament.
Later this afternoon the men of Aalsmeer and Volendam play in De Bloemhof against each other.
After Thursday’s draw for the Champions League, the competition program has now been announced. Ajax starts on Wednesday 17 September with a home match against Internazionale.
Afterwards Ajax successively Chelsea (UIT, October 22), Galatasaray (home, November 5), Benfica (home, November 25), FK Qarabag (Uit, December 10), Villarreal (from, January 20) and as the last home against Olympiakos on January 28.
The first 24 of the 36 teams qualify for the next phase, the first eight of which go to the eighth finals. The numbers 9 to 24 play an interim round. The last twelve teams have been eliminated.
In more than an hour and a half, the North Holland derby between FC Volendam and Ajax will start in Volendam. Both clubs are still unbeaten after three games. The Volendammers played the same three times; Ajax won twice and got stuck at GA Eagles on a draw.
