For the North Holland clubs in the Second Division, the season started yesterday. At RKAV Volendam, Ted Verdonkschot is at the helm after three seasons with Berry Smit at the helm. The first match ended for Verdonkschot and his players in a deception. De Treffers scored the only goal of the afternoon via Steven van der Heijden in the 93rd (!) Minute.
At Royal HFC, interim trainer Dennis van den IJssel has been appointed as head coach. Last season he already took the honors for Gertjan Tamerus, who took a step back. The Haarlemmers did start with a victory over Jong Sparta: 2-1. AFC also has a new captain on the ship in Chedric Seedorf. The Amsterdammers fell 2-0 against Quick Boys, last year’s champion. NH Sport followed Seedorf yesterday with his debut:
