Borna Sosa, 25, exchanged Dinamo Zagreb five years ago for VfB Stuttgart, the club where Ajax’s current director of football affairs Sven Mislintat worked. He played fourteen international matches for Croatia in the last two years.
Trainer Maurice Steijn said on Thursday evening that Ajax was ready on the transfer market after the arrival of the Norwegian midfielder Sivert Mannsverk. “But I was still not completely satisfied with the left-back position,” he said. “Gastón Ávila can play there and Jorrel Hato too.
