The Australian fashion brand Zimmermann opened its second store in Germany. As a location, the label chose the luxury mile Neuer Wall in the center of the Hanseatic city of Hamburg.

In the Paulsenhaus (Neuer Wall 72), the fashion company, which was founded in 1991 by the sisters Nicky and Simone Zimmermann, is now presenting its current autumn collection. The Australian interior design office Studio Mcqualter was again responsible for the facility, which is characterized by high-quality materials, historical designer furniture and selected works of art, with which Zimmermann has been working for a long time.

The brand celebrated its Germany debut last year with the opening of a boutique in Munich. The Hamburg location has a very special meaning for Creative Director Nicky Zimmermann. “Hamburg is the place where my father grew up before he emigrated to Australia as a teenager. So this opening is something very special for Simone and me,” she said in a statement. “I still remember how I was here for the first time as a child and was overwhelmed by the city – she felt so different from my home in Australia.”

The Hanseatic city “has a very special charm based on the historical architecture, the location of the Elbe and the lively atmosphere,” said the designer. “It is exciting to return to our personal roots and open a boutique that celebrates German design codes with a contemporary approach.”
