The Spanish fast fashion retailer Zara is expanding into France with its pre-owned offering.
Customers of the company, which belongs to the fashion group Inditex, have had the opportunity to use the circular services in France since Thursday, Zara announced at the end of August. The platform integrated into the online shop and app offers a repair service for Zara products, as well as resale and purchase among customers, as well as a clothing donation option, as has been possible in England since November.
“We firmly believe that innovation is crucial to developing a circular future,” says Paula Ampuero, Head of Sustainable Development at Zara. “That’s why we’re working actively and together to find and scale solutions to configure an increasingly sustainable value chain.”
Zara plans to launch its ‘pre-owned’ offering in Germany this year, a spokesman for the fashion chain confirmed to FashionUnited in May. It is currently not known when exactly the service will be rolled out.
