Make a nest yourself

Wasps are territorial and avoid places where there is already a nest. Hang a brown paper bag in the form of a wasp’s nest or buy a counterfeit nest online. Hang the nest in a clearly visible place in your garden. This creates the illusion that the area is already ‘occupied’. Wasps often stay away instinctively. No poison needed, just smart deception.

Set a fall from distance

Wasps are attracted by sweets, so use it to your advantage. Fill a plastic bottle with sugar water and a drop of washing -up liquid. Put this fall at least ten meters from your place where you are in the garden, so that you can be lured away instead of putting on. The further away, the safer you are. Paying regularly prevents it from becoming a wasp party.

That’s how you hurry them away

Wasps hate certain scents such as mint, rosemary, clove and lemon. Pierce some cloves in half a lemon or put pots with mint and rosemary around the terrace. It smells good for people, but has a repulsive effect on wasps.
