Zalando hires sustainability experts from H&M

Pascal Brun is the new Vice President for Sustainability and Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) at Zalando.

In his new role, Brun will report to Padmaja Bommareddy, Senior Vice President Corporate Development, the Berlin-based online retailer announced on Wednesday. By strengthening the team, Zalando’s goal is to unite the sustainability and diversity and inclusion teams under one roof in order to achieve its commitments in these areas “even more effectively”.

“The new structure – integrating sustainability and D&I into the strategic heart of the organization – will give my team the right tools to make a meaningful contribution in the near and distant future, building on the great groundwork of the last few years can build,” said Brun. “I am honored to support Zalando in achieving positive impact and meaningful growth across our entire value chain.”

Brun has 16 years of industry experience and has worked for the Swedish fashion group H&M on various continents and in various functions with a particular focus on sustainability and supply chain. Most recently, he held the position of Head of Sustainability in Stockholm.

“We are very excited to have Pascal join our team as he shares our passion for wanting to create a fairer and more sustainable world for future generations and driving positive change in the fashion industry,” said Bommareddy.
