Sevening at 9.30pm on Channel 5 goes on air Circus Max – A hit nightor Max Pezzali’s concert last September 2nd at the Circo Massimo in Rome. A big party full of music. Thirty years of career condensed into over thirty songs that marked an era. Also on stage was a large number of guestsfrom historic collaborators to the newest voices in Italian discography.

It was 1992 when 883 released They killed Spider-Manthe first album preceded by the single of the same name. A true triumph, which transformed Max Pezzali and Mauro Repetto into real stars. A success that continued even after Repetto’s farewell in 1994.
Circus Max – A hit night celebrates Pezzali’s career both with 883 and as a soloist. The concert comes at the end of a tour which saw the participation of over half a million spectators. On stage, the band composed of Giordano Colombo on drums, Marco Mariniello on bass, Giorgio Mastrocola on guitar, Ernesto Ghezzi on keyboards and Davide Ferrario on guitar.
To enrich the event – directed by Luigi Antonini – an ad hoc scenography designed by Sergio Pappalettera, which recalls circus imagerymixed with elements from the 90s atmosphere. Guests arrive in a vintage vanwhile ten dancers alternate on stage.
Obviously the homage to the world of motors cannot be missing. Max Pezzali arrives at the Circus Maximus aboard a Harley Davidson. The name 883, in fact, derives from the displacement of the famous Sportser.

Among the guests, Paola and Chiara and Riccardo Zanotti
Circus Max involves the participation of several singers. Artists of his own generation, but also of younger ones. A mix of experiences, genres and styles. Among those announced, Article 31, Colapesce Dimartino, Dargen D’Amico, Gazzelle, Lazza, Paola & Chiara and the frontman of Pinguini Tattici Nucleari Riccardo Zanotti. The latter is fresh from the success achieved last July at San Siro with a concert that sold out in a few hours.
Paola & Chiara, on the other hand, are linked to Pezzali by a long-standing relationship. Their career began as backing vocalists for 883 and it was he who called them back last year, to perform on the San Siro stage. A truly historic reunion, culminating in the participation in Sanremo 2023 with Fury.
Finally there will be a DJ set, the Deejay Time – Special set, with the participation of Albertino, Fargetta, Molella and Prezioso.
