Zalando creates a new position for creative direction

Morten Grubak takes on the newly created role of Vice President of Creative Direction at Zalando.

Grubak will take up this role on October 1st and will then be responsible for the creative direction of the Zalando brand, the Berlin online retailer announced on Wednesday. It should run along the entire length Customer journey Develop uniform and consistent creative solutions. In this position, Grubak will report to Anne Pascual, Senior Vice President Product Design at Zalando.

“The creation of the new role of Vice President of Creative Direction is part of our commitment to make Zalando a brand driven by emotions and stories, and a place where our customers are inspired,” said Pascual. “Morten’s creative work is impressive and many of his projects are considered groundbreaking in the industry.”

He previously worked for the US media company Vice Media Group, where he most recently headed the Global Innovation Lab at the Virtue agency. There he was involved in projects such as Coca Cola Creations, a collaboration between the beverage manufacturer and artists, and the Backup Ukraine initiative, which was created in partnership with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
