A fierce house fire destroyed a house on Jan Windhouwerstraat in Zaandam yesterday. The fire appears to have been lit. At least that is what the police suspect, who have launched an investigation.
Photos show that the damage to the home is extensive. The fire, which broke out just before nine o’clock, was just as devastating. The fire brigade was able to prevent other homes from being damaged.
The residents were not home at the time of the fire.
The police say that a forensic team will be called in and a neighborhood investigation will take place. The police are also looking for witnesses and camera images.
