The municipality of Coevorden calls on to nominate children for the youth ribbons. The municipality awards these ribbons to young people aged 6 to 18 who have done something special.

With the youth ribbon, the municipality wants to put such a young person in the spotlight. Someone is eligible for a ribbon if he or she has done a heroic act, does volunteer work or, for example, does shopping every week for a sick person, says the municipality.

Anyone who wants to register someone for a youth ribbon. An independent jury, which also includes the mayor, determines who get a ribbon. The presentation takes place around the Day of the Rights of the Child, on November 20.
