Young woman (19) escaped via roof from a roof car after crash in maize field in Houthulst

A 19-year-old woman escaped much worse on Sunday evening in a heavy traffic accident in Houthulst. The driver lost control of her car, crashed against a lighting pole and was eventually hurled with her car in a corn field. “She was able to escape in the roof via a narrow opening,” says Commissioner Rafael Rondelez of the Polder police zone.
