Young Ajax player Enric Llansana enters the Eredivisie with Go Ahead Eagles

Go Ahead Eagles takes over Enric Llansana from Ajax. The 21-year-old central defender, who played his matches in Young Ajax, signs a four-year contract in Deventer.

“After two years in the Kitchen Champion Division, I consider it a very nice step to show what I have as a midfielder at Go Ahead Eagles,” Llansana says on the Go Ahead Eagles website. “I want to show that I can handle the level of the Eredivisie, play a lot and enjoy this beautiful club.”

In the team of trainer John Heitinga, Llansana mainly played in the center back. At number thirteen in last season’s Eredivisie, Llansana focuses on a different position. “At Go Ahead Eagles, the midfield is my intended position. I always played there in the Ajax youth academy – before I moved on to Young Ajax. I also feel more like a midfielder than a defender. It suits me to be the liaison player between rear and front guard.”

Llansana still had a continuous contract in Amsterdam until the summer of 2023. The Spanish-born defender, who has gone through several Dutch youth teams, played in Ajax’s youth academy for more than ten years.
