In the summer of 2023, Dingsdag will switch from Telstar to FC Volendam. The Amsterdammer, former assistant of Andries Jonker and Mike Snoei, started in the fishing village as trainer of Jong Volendam. The former defender briefly served as interim coach after the resignation of Matthias Kohler.
From the winter break he took up his assistant role again. First under Regillio Simons and later under Rick Kruys, with whom he celebrated the championship in the first division and promotion to the Premier League. Unfortunately, last season was less successful; Volendam was relegated from the Premier League again.
