Serena Williams at Eastbourne in the doubles semi-final

Tennis superstar Serena Williams has won her second game after a year break.

The American defeated the Japanese Shuko Aoyama and Hao-Ching Chan from Taiwan 6: 2, 6: 4 at the WTA tournament in Eastbourne in doubles alongside Ons Jabeur from Tunisia. In the semifinals, the duo meets Aleksandra Krunic from Serbia and Magda Linette from Poland.

The 23-time winner of Grand Slam tournaments wants to warm up in Eastbourne for the lawn classic in Wimbledon (June 27th to July 10th). The 40-year-old receives a wildcard for this. With another success in Wimbledon, she can set the Grand Slam record of Australian Margaret Court (24 titles). Williams has won there seven times so far.
