Four motorists had to surrender their driver’s license to officers of the Zeeland-West-Brabant traffic police on Saturday morning. They caught them driving far too fast on the A16 near Prinsenbeek.
The four were on their way to pick up a bride for a wedding when they passed the speed trap location. “We regularly experience nuisance from wedding processions moving through traffic,” a traffic police spokesperson said.
The four speed demons all drove more than 50 kilometers per hour faster than the speed limit. The one who made the most noise drove 158 kilometers per hour, where 100 kilometers per hour is the maximum.
