Yle news anchor Milla Madetoja, who has been diagnosed with leukemia, updates her news in a photo carousel she publishes on Instagram.

In the publication, Madetoja shares everyday moments: pictures of friends, sports events at the stadium, and self-portraits from the middle of everyday life.

In the caption, he tells how ordinary everyday things, such as visiting a cafe, train journeys, gigs and sporting events, are the first ordinary things he has been able to do again since his illness.

– My resistance is better all the time, I can carefully let go of normal everyday life and it feels like everything is opening up again, but my heart is the most, he describes his condition.

– Don’t think that once you get to Citymarket or can order a big pot, that’s life! he ends the text.

At the beginning of the year, Milla Madetoja was diagnosed with acute leukemia, which was discovered during a routine check-up. He started cytostatic treatments, and at the same time, they started looking for a suitable donor for the stem cell transplant.

The donor was initially found in Germany, but later it turned out that Madetoja’s sister was also a suitable donor, and in May the transfer was made from her.

Madetoja told about his illness in July, and since then he has been actively sharing updates related to his illness on social media. The news anchor has also said that cancer treatments are behind him now.
