Wasn’t the coke-banana find a glitch after all?

The police found a large amount of narcotics at a fruit dealer in Groß Kreutz (Potsdam-Mittelmark district). This was confirmed by a spokesman for the Brandenburg police of the German Press Agency on Wednesday morning.

According to initial findings, the find is in the three-digit kilogram range. The police did not provide any further information on the type of drugs used.

Since Tuesday afternoon there have been “extensive police measures” on the wholesaler’s premises, it said on Tuesday.

In addition to customs investigators and police officers from the State Criminal Police Office, a helicopter was also used.

The fruit trade had already come into focus in the summer of last year. Around 660 kilograms of cocaine were discovered there in banana boxes. It was the largest drug find in the history of the state up to that point. At the time, investigators assumed the smugglers had failed.
