Trender Jeansmode GmbH & Co. KG, operator of the fashion chain Yeans Halle, has completed its renovation.
Steffen Beck, who was responsible for the proceedings as restructuring manager, has drawn up an insolvency plan together with the management, Pluta Rechtsanwalts GmbH, for which he works, announced on Thursday. The plan was approved by the creditors and approved by the responsible district court in Stuttgart. The procedure is now completed. Sebastian Mielke from the Stuttgart law firm Menold Bezler acted as administrator.
Three stores have to close
The company and the legal entity remain intact. Around 250 employees continue to work for the company. However, at the start of the process there were 270. This could also be because three of the 16 locations had to close. Pluto did not provide any further details about the stores.
“Together we have developed various restructuring measures,” said Pluta lawyer Michael Reichold, who supported Beck in the process. “The Yeans Halle branches, which were operated as legally independent companies, were integrated into Trender and all employees were taken on. This meant that the administrative effort could be reduced significantly. By modernizing the IT systems, the prerequisites for process optimization were created, particularly in purchasing and logistics, but also in the area of marketing. In addition, new rental agreements were negotiated, thereby significantly reducing costs.”
Yeans Halle appoints new managing director
Meanwhile, new on board is managing director Thomas Klein, who has headed Yeans Halle since September. He has extensive experience in stationary retail, according to the statement. Horst Mühlberger, owner of the Yeans Halle Group, has handed over operational responsibility to Klein and will support the company in an advisory capacity in the future.
“The successful end of the process is a significant milestone in the company history of Yeans Halle,” said Klein. “We have not only created stability, but also laid the foundation for a modern, future-proof orientation of the group. With a clear vision, innovative concepts and new leadership, a promising future begins for the company.”
Trender Jeansmode GmbH Co. KG from Sindelfingen and twelve operating subsidiaries applied for self-administration proceedings at the Stuttgart District Court in December 2023. The reason for this was the declining sales since the Corona pandemic due to negative consumer sentiment as well as high inflation, the political situation and growing competition from online retail.
