Yao Cabrera, the controversial youtuber denounced for trafficking

The last weeks of youtuber Yao Cabrera put him back in the crosshairs of justice and the scrutiny of his own followers. Imitating influencer Jake Paul, who faced MMA star Connor McGregor last year, Cabrera announced a few months ago that he would fight in March in Dubai, against boxer “El Chino” Maidana.

But a few days ago he suffered an accident: he fell from the third floor of a house while recording a video during his stay in Villa Carlos Paz, Córdoba. He was hospitalized urgently and the first information indicated that he was in a serious state of health. However, at the same time, he received harsh criticism from some of a group of followers who doubted the veracity of the fact.

Cabrera showed the wounds, and his lawyer, Alejandro Cipolla, the same lawyer who represents the ragpicker L-Gante, assured that the youtuber suffered from a “post-traumatic subdural hemorrhage.” But far from suspending the fight with Maidana, they confirmed that they would travel to Dubai and that the fight had not fallen.

However, Cabrera would face the impossibility of leaving the country: prosecutor Sebastian Bringas requested the “Prohibition of Leaving the Country” with notification to the Federal Police, Immigration and Interpol. Prosecuted and seized for $3,000,000 by the federal judge of Campana, Adrián González Charvay, under the crime of “Trafficking and Reduction to Servitude”, after refusing to testify in his investigation, he is also exposed to a sentence of between 4 to 15 effective prison years.

The case initiated by the manager Jorge Zonzini, has as plaintiffs Giovanna De Mitole and Mariano Fernández, former employees of Cabrera who denounce the intimidation and threats, and warn about the possibilities that the youtuber will flee to evade his criminal responsibilities. .

De Mitole, a 22-year-old designer known as @lashovi on social networks, uploaded a video a few days ago in which she said she was intimidated by the gang that surrounds the Uruguayan influencer who has been living in Argentina for more than a decade: “I want it to be clear that if something happens to me it’s Yao Cabrera’s fault”.
