“We have to look at ourselves,” a coalition leader reflected this weekend about the fuss surrounding the cabinet of the past week. Once again, Minister Sjoerd Sjoerdsma (Development Cooperation) was negatively in the news, this time because of the tinkering to balance his budget for next year. “I think this is an example of how it should be done,” cooed the D66 minister after he had raised 380 million euros and thus secured the support of Progressive Netherlands (PN).
