A man was injured on Thursday night on the A59 at the Hooipolder junction in Raamsdonksveer. He collided with another car with his car. The accident happened around a quarter to a night.
One car ended against a traffic pole. The other, in which the wounded man was, came to a halt on the roadside. The fire brigade helped the victim get out of the car. He was then taken to a hospital.

During the settlement of the accident, part of the junction was closed to traffic. The driveway of the A27 towards Utrecht was also closed. A recovery company has towed the cars. The police are investigating how the accident could happen.
