Italian MotoGP rider Francesco Bagnaia crashed heavily shortly after the start of the Catalonia Grand Prix. The Italian, reigning world champion and championship leader, lost control of his Ducati bike and flipped over. While Bagnaia was lying on the tarmac, another driver ran over his legs. He was taken by ambulance to the medical post.
