“Looks like the person is collapsing”

In Germany there was a fan mile at the Brandenburg Gate for years. In Mexico there is the Zócalo. However, the preparations seem to be rather poor.
Just over 80,000 spectators can fit into the Aztec Stadium in Mexico City. The game was sold out for the opening game. So it’s no wonder that numerous football enthusiasts also came to the fan festival in the Mexican capital. It takes place in the Zócalo, the central Plaza de la Constitucion.
However, the supply situation for the fans there does not seem to be optimal. A Mexican supporter told the Mexican media portal “Milenio” about the grievances.
In a video on Platform X, the man said that he and his group had to stand in the middle of the sun. The supply of food and drink is inadequate: “It’s not permanent, but we couldn’t buy anything to drink or eat. We found someone selling water on a street corner.”

To match his words, he then showed a small bottle of water to the camera. The man can now take in fluids, but he also talks about other fans on the festival site: “There was a person at the front who felt bad and the security forces didn’t do anything here.”
According to the weather report, it should be around 24 degrees, with storms and downpours predicted. But that probably hasn’t happened yet. However, the conditions seem to be taking a toll on a few people. The fan interviewed recounts a note to the security forces: “We told them that they had to come up with a plan of action because it looked like the person was collapsing.”
