Four countries

FIFA has assigned the 2025 Club World Cup to the United States without a real tender procedure, but very likely it will not do the same for the 2029 tournament. And then the pretenders flock. Brazil publicly declared its candidacy after a meeting between the president of the country federation of the country, Samir Xaud, and Gianni Infantino, in Miami. But also Spain and Morocco, who will host the 2030 World Cup together together with Portugal (with three challenges in Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay) have proposed, individually, for the second edition. But there is more. Because Qatar is the fourth country to declare its candidacy. To write it is the Guardian which reports of some talks had among the country’s emissaries with FIFA officials during the tournament in the United States. The Qatar would have declared that it could host a zero to zero carbon dioxide emissions tournament, in stark contrast to the current Club World Cup that sees offices in 11 cities.
Moving in winter

But there is a problem, the extreme heat in Qatar during the summer. The solution? Moving the tournament in winter, how did it happen for the 2022 World Cup. But how would European alloys react? Of course, to the individual clubs, the participating ones, the rich financial rewards made available by FIFA could continue to throat. There is talk of an even richer prize pool than the billion dollars of the 2025 edition. We will see.
