Finally, Florian Neuhaus spent time in Mallorca. Now a video is circulating on the net that brings the ex-international and his club into trouble.
Former German international Florian Neuhaus is said to have insulted Mallorca Gladbach manager Roland Virkus. A video clip is circulating on the platform X, in which the midfielder can be seen. He obviously talks to fans of the “foals” about the 58-year-old. The video is said to have been created on the island of Mallorca.
In the almost eleven -hour section, Neuhaus emphasizes, which initially only heard but cannot be seen that Virkus is the “worst manager in the world”. When a Gladbach supporter asks for the reasons for this statement, the camera swings to the footballer. He counts: “Don Rollo (nickname from Virkus, editor’s note) gives Florian Neuhaus one, two, three, four million.” Apparently an allusion to the own annual salary of Neuhaus, which had extended his contract in Mönchengladbach 2023 to 2027.
T-online asked Borussia Mönchengladbach on Monday morning whether the video was known. “It is not the case that we have already completely worked on the case,” said the association’s press office, but confirmed: “We know the video, of course.”
It also said from the club that they wanted to check the authenticity of the video and first know what the player says, should the video actually be real. Then the further procedure will be discussed. The Bundesliga club did not want to guarantee whether there would be another statement on the case. “This also depends on whether the video is real.” In the worst case, Neuhaus is likely to threaten serious consequences.
The fact is: Neuhaus actually stayed in Mallorca. In the middle of the month, he confirmed to fans in the “Bierkönig” area discotheque that he would not leave Gladbach. The 28-year-old under coach Gerardo Seoane has hardly played a role anymore. Only 18 league inserts and a total of 368 minutes played were available for him last season.
A few years ago, Neuhaus still played for the German national team. Between 2020 and 2022 he was allowed to cover the DFB jersey ten times, also contributed two goals and was even part of the 2021 European Championship squad, although it was not used.
