Real overwhelming volleyball in Lajkovac, the Tuscans (Skinner 23 points) suffer more than they should against Le Cannet, but in the end they return with 3 important points for the top of the group
Double away victory this Wednesday in the women’s volleyball Champions League. Milan and Scandicci smile, the first overwhelming, the second with a bit of suffering. Both with their second victory in two games.

Full spoils for Milan in the Serbian away game in Lajkovac against Železničar. Lavarini’s team beats their opponents 0-3, with Pietrini still MVP (13 points like Sartori) and Akimova top scorer with 16 points. Numia makes a turnover, with Akimova, Sartori and Miner (good performance from the American setter) as starters, but is not affected, thanks to an always very effective serve which yields 10 aces. In the first set, Milan breaks away in the central phase with Akimova, and in the second thanks to the block. Small slips only came in the third half (from 10-16 to 15-16 and from 19-24 to 22-24), but the guests always kept control of the game and closed without further problems.
Lajkovac: Kostadinovic 12 points, Muri team 4, Ace team 4.
Milan: Akimova 16 points, Muri team 7, Ace team 10 (Miner 3).
le cannet-scandicci 1-3 (11-25, 25-20, 23-25, 17-25)

A not always brilliant Scandicci returns from France with a victory and 3 points. In Le Cannet against Voleroe it ends 1-3, and the Tuscans will play for the top of the group in January against Guidetti’s Vakifbank. But beyond the result, moments of emptiness remain. After a first set dominated, especially from 9 meters, the Tuscans fade away in the second, significantly lowering their serving efficiency, and Popova’s outburst drags the French to a 1-1 draw. With Savino del Bene without rhythm, the teams go hand in hand in the third set, but the guests take a small advantage towards the end and move ahead. Scandicci loosens up, immediately goes ahead in the fourth set with Popova in sharp decline and controls until the final 17-25.
Le Cannet: Popova 16 points, Muri team 7, Ace team 6 (Svetnik 4).
Scandicci: Skinner 23 points, Muri team 11, Ace team 10 (Franklin 4).
