Woman’s hair set on fire in Tilburg city bus

The hair of a 22-year-old woman was set on fire with a lighter in a Tilburg city bus on Thursday afternoon. The suspect, a 37-year-old from Tilburg, was arrested on Friday afternoon. This is reported by the police.

The victim also received a severe elbow bump from the arrested woman. The 22-year-old from Tilburg suffered some scorched spots on her hair and a painful left upper arm. Her coat also has black scorch marks.

Man pushed lighter away
The woman says she had not given any reason for the assault. The police investigation later revealed that a male passenger had intervened and prevented worse.

The man pushed the woman’s hand with the lighter away and spoke to her. Due to the argument that arose in the bus, the woman discovered that her hair had been set on fire. The 37-year-old woman is still in custody for questioning.
