Wolves Esports and MNM Gaming reach major playoffs

European Rainbow Six teams Wolves Esports and MNM Gaming have qualified for the Major playoffs in Copenhagen. Thanks to strong performances, both teams won their games on the last day of the group stage 2-0.

The victories of the two teams from France and England also meant the homeward journey of two Asian teams: MNM Gaming sent the South Korean team Sandbox Gaming home (7:1, 7:5), Wolves Esports sealed the elimination of the Japanese major debutants from Varrel ( 7:2, 7:4).

The day started for Wolves with a 7-4 loss to the Brazilians and top favorites w7m in the Group D upper bracket final. However, coach Laurie “Lyloun” Lagier’s side were given a second and final chance – and took it .

The R6 Major in Copenhagen is the first major international tournament of the current season. Through May 7, the remaining 16 teams will be battling it out in the Danish capital for the Major title, their share of the $750,000 total in prize money and qualifying points for the Six Invitational in Brazil.
