Showers with wet snow are again forecast this evening, reports WeerOnline. Particularly in the north and center of the country, it can become slippery locally due to freezing of wet roads. The risk of this happening is mainly on bridges and viaducts and much less on ‘normal’ roads. Regional fog may also form during the night.

According to a spokesperson for the ANWB, Tuesday and Thursday are normally the busiest days on the road. This is because many people go to and from the office on these days. In addition, this week is even busier than normal due to the winter weather, especially during rush hour. This morning there were about 900 kilometers of traffic jams.

While code yellow was issued this morning, it will remain mainly quiet in the east this evening and overnight. The coastal regions in particular still have a chance of local winter showers. It is partly cloudy and there is little wind. The temperature is between -3 in the (north)east and +1 in Zeeland.
