RB Leipzig’s head coach Marco Rose currently sees no need for newcomers in the coming transfer period. “You might make a winter transfer to fill a gap. I don’t recognize them yet,” said the 46-year-old in an interview sky. “If we lose a player at the absolute top level for a little longer, then it’s only worth getting an absolute top player. The fee for him is reportedly 10 million euros.

RB Leipzig: Diallo candidate for permanent commitment – Rose thinks the squad is good enough for a title
At the moment, Rose cannot say whether central defender Abdou Diallo (26), on loan from PSG, will stay with RB beyond the summer. “Abdou is a huge guy and good footballer who can lead a team. He’s in his prime. We are very happy to think about keeping him at Leipzig for a longer period of time. You can tell that he feels at home here. But basically it’s still very early and there are always several parties involved in a transfer,” said the coach.
Rose made it clear that he considers his squad – the third most valuable in the German Oberhaus – good enough for the maximum, i.e. the championship. “Honestly, if everyone in our squad is healthy, I’ll have confidence in this team! It’s important to me that we’re always ambitious and try to win every game in the Bundesliga – no matter who it’s against.”
