Winter signing at TSG possible: Rosen wants to wait and see how Bebous’ injury develops

End of season threatens

TSG 1899 Hoffenheim wants to make the possible signing of a striker during the winter break dependent on the healing process of the injured Munas Dabbur and Ihlas Bebou. The duo had decided against an operation, as sports director Alexander Rosen explained after TSG 1899 Hoffenheim lost 2-1 to VfL Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga on Saturday. Bebou has a knee injury and Dabbur has a shoulder injury.

“We’ll have a decision on whether it works in the next few weeks,” Rosen said of Bebou’s situation. “If not, if there is an intervention, then that’s it for this season.” At Dabbur he spoke of a very serious shoulder injury. At the same time, Rosen expressed respect for the decision of the two attackers to rely on conservative treatment: “At the end of the day, it’s the person who decides.”

In the past two years, TSG had been reticent about newcomers during the winter transfer window. In 2022, only Justin Che came on loan from FC Dallas, in 2021 Georginio Rutter signed a bargain from Stade Rennes for 750,000 euros.
