A 27-year-old Tilburger was arrested on Wednesday because he has thrown a glass bottle to the head of a 63-year-old, retired bus driver from Wagenberg. In addition, the victim suffered a head wound. It happened in Dordrecht, where Willem II had to play in the play-offs on Wednesday.
There were four buses with supporters to the Stadium of FC Dordrecht, where Willem II took on Wednesday against the club from the Kitchen Champion Division. The teams compete for a place in the Eredivisie and compete against each other in the play-offs.
Impatient
There was a 27-year-old supporter in one of the four buses, who became impatient. “He didn’t want to wait until the doors opened and left the bus through the emergency exit at the back. When the bus driver wanted to say something about it, he got a glass bottle thrown to his head,” said the police.
According to circumstances, the driver is doing well, but he had to be treated on his head. The supporter was arrested for abuse.
Criminal case wait
He may wait for his criminal case in freedom, but there are conditions. For example, he is no longer allowed to come close to the Willem II stadium or go to a football match at all. He is not allowed to drink alcohol and also not to supporters’ café d’n chisel.
The probation service keeps an eye on things. If the Tilburger does not stick to the rules, he will be arrested and put in the cell.
