Willem II-NAC temporarily suspended after objects are thrown on the field

The duel between Willem II and NAC Breda was temporarily stopped after half an hour on Sunday afternoon. Supporters of the Tilburg club threw objects on the field after the visitors came to 0-2.

The players go inside for fifteen minutes, after which the game resumes after a short warm-up. If more objects are thrown in the remainder of the game, the referee will stop the game permanently.

Last Friday evening, more competitions in the Kitchen Champion Division were stopped. At Helmond Sport against SC Cambuur, a number of cups were thrown on the field after the 2-1, after which the referee decided to temporarily stop the game.

At TOP Oss, referee Stan Teuben temporarily stopped the duel with FC Groningen in the first half. After a commotion arose in the stands next to the away section, a number of Groningen supporters were removed from the section by stewards. This was responded to by TOP Oss supporters who were sitting in another stand. After a few minutes, peace returned and the game could resume.
