Warner Brothers is working on a sequel to the post-apocalyptic action film I Am Legend. Will Smith and Michael B. Jordan could also be won for this.
In the 2007 blockbuster, a global pandemic has wiped out most of the human population. Will Smith plays the role of Robert Neville, who seems to be the only survivor in New York City.
Long before the world had to grapple with the real-life coronavirus pandemic, “I Am Legend” was a huge hit – grossing more than $585 million at the global box office and earning a place as the seventh-highest-grossing film of 2007 in the USA.
Specific details about the plot have not yet been released. The sequel will mark the first time the two actors have appeared on screen together. The screenplay for the sequel is again written by Akiva Goldsman, who also wrote the screenplay for the first film.
It was also revealed that Smith and Jordan will also be producers on the film. It has not yet been announced who will direct the film.
Will Smith is currently in cinemas with his new film King Richard. He has already received a Golden Globe Award for this role. And he’s also nominated for the Oscar for best actor at the Oscars.
Jordan was last seen on A Journal for Jordan in 2021 and is currently in front of the camera for Creed III.
