Will Jukurie’s bad luck against JYP turn into a win?

JYP has already won twice in the Jukurit Liiga this season, although in terms of play it has been at the bottom in both matches.

The most interesting game of the day

In the league’s only match of the evening, Jukurit tries to attract a lucky girl to their side against JYP. The teams’ first two meetings of the season have been very different in light of the results and game events.

Previous encounters have ended for JYP in Jyväskylä 2–1 and in Mikkeli 4–3 in overtime. However, what was worth noting in those matches was that, in the light of the statistics, Jukurit dominated both of them almost sovereignly. In the 1–2 loss, the Mikkeli team won the shots 66–30 and the goal score 3.3–1.7. In a 3–4 loss, the corresponding readings were 51–39 and 4.0–1.8 in favor of Jukurs.

In terms of formations, both teams get into tonight’s game from good starting points. The home team only lacks a defender among the key players Juuso Vainio and a striker from Jukurei Otto Mäkinen.

Despite the statistics of the previous meetings, I still find it a bit surprising from a betting point of view that Jukurit is set as away favorites against JYP, who had a game under their belt straight from the break. I personally give the home team a little favorite cape. The 1.92 of JYP’s final victory is not up to the odds, but still the best bet of the match. In terms of goals, the most preferred choice is the 1.90 multiplier offered for more than 5.0 goals in regular time.

JYP–Jukurit starts at 18:30.

The best betting tip of the day

Thursday’s best betting ideas can be found in Mesti’s Hokki–JoKP match. Here, both the success of the away team and the abundance of goals are close to playable. For some reason, Veikkaus has recently overvalued Hokki fairly regularly, and it is doing so now. The team is playing Pasi Räsänen under Mesti, it’s quite good and closes the puck, but correspondingly, the goal-scoring sector is sometimes too quiet. Hokki has lost four of its five previous matches.

JoKP is the opposite of the game style; its game is mostly based on fast offensive power. Accordingly, the defense is not as tight as Hoki’s. In the first meeting of the season, JoKP won relatively deservedly 6–2 at home. In terms of the game, Hokki practically fell behind at that time. The opening match of the season in itself doesn’t have much reference value for tonight’s match, but fundamentally I don’t think Hokki is that much stronger than JoKP than Veikkaus. Of course, the team’s second best scorer Jonáš Peterek’s transfer to HC Vítkovice will be nice, but JoKP still has enough firepower for the two frontcourts.

Both JoKP+0.5 (double chance x and 2) with a coefficient of 1.97 and 5.5 goals over regular time with a coefficient of 1.79 are borderline cases. As a hint, I raise the over. Hokki–JoKP starts at 18:30.
