Almost every day, Erling Haaland is associated with another top club. But the Norwegian still scores his goals for BVB. That could stay that way beyond the summer, his advisor has now revealed.

Player agent Mino Raiola has given Borussia Dortmund hope that striker Erling Haaland will stay beyond the coming summer. “We will look for the best option. I do not rule out that he will stay with Dortmund for another year,” said the 54-year-old Italian to the Dutch radio station NOS.

BVB managing director Hans-Joachim Watzke made a similar statement last Sunday at “Bild” and referred to a recently “very good conversation” with Raiola: “It may be that Erling leaves, it can be that he stays.”

No prior agreement with another club

Several top clubs should try to sign the 21-year-old Norwegian. According to Watzke, the great interest of the Spanish record champions Real Madrid is “guaranteed”: “I think that it would be more popular in Spain. In England, a different kind of football is played.” Haaland is under contract in Dortmund until 2024, but could obviously draw a release clause after the end of the season, which allows an early change with a transfer fee of around 75 million euros.

In addition to Real, the highly indebted FC Barcelona is another interested party. “Barcelona will always remain one of the biggest clubs in the world despite the current situation. They will be back in a year or two. Haaland can wait for everyone,” said Raiola. According to him, there should not be a preliminary agreement with a club.
